Property Description

Impeccable ancestral duplex, this project by studio Ross Dugas is the result of a reinterpretation of historical charm through a modern and authentic approach to space. The redesign was carried out with the aim of maximizing natural light entry and optimizing living spaces while preserving the Victorian colonial style characteristic of the house. Always with a focus on creating striking contrasts, the modern kitchen with a black finish rests on herringbone flooring reminiscent of charming Parisian apartments. Authenticity has been preserved in the bathroom through the meticulous restoration of a clawfoot bathtub and a period sink.

An impeccable ancestral duplex, the Boucherville project by studio Ross Dugas is the result of the transformation of a partitioned unit into a spacious loft inspired by large hotel suites. The redevelopment was carried out with the aim of maximizing natural light and optimizing living spaces, while preserving the house's characteristic Victorian colonial style. To create a fluid, harmonious layout, walls and partitions were knocked down. To complement the elegance of the high ceilings, new 8-foot molded doors were installed, complete with Emtek French Antique finished handles. A fireplace mantel evoking the era of the house and a restored red-brick fireplace were integrated, honoring the soul of the place while bringing a touch of warmth to the overall composition.

In line with the desire to create striking contrasts, the modern kitchen with its black finish rests on a herringbone floor reminiscent of charming Parisian apartments. The rest of the space features white-painted maple hardwood flooring in a width reminiscent of the period style. Custom furniture, such as the headboard and entrance bench, were designed to combine elegance and originality. The uniformity of the textured finish and rounded shapes lends a distinct dimension to the home's traditional French lines.

**This duplex comprises a total of 4 bedrooms, one on the ground floor and 3 on the 2nd floor.
